about the project
AFSO is a non-profit association, presented in the municipality of Oeiras. The mission is to help the most needy families by offering them baskets with essential goods for everyday life.
This projected was divided in 2 parts, the website – public to everyone – and the platform – just for internal users/volunteers.
Families who seek help through the AFSO website find themselves in very delicate life situations. Many of them cannot earn enough to feed their children.
For this reason, it was necessary to rebuild the website in a very friendly way and easy to use.
The redesign of the platform was also necessary to help the volunteers organized everything that they need.

The platform is only for internal management of associates, volunteers and families.
Those who do this work are people who already have a current job and who at the end of the day dedicate a little of their time to helping those in need.
PROBLEM:
- Heavy and melancholy tone;
- Good overall structure.
SOLUTION:
- Lighter appearance;
- Reorganization of the page structure;
- Key shortcuts to asset management –metrics dashboard, primary family beneficiary view, household, allergen warning.

All the design was made thinking in all the people who are going to spend hours reviewing the applications, so it needed to be very clean and intuitive to read and use.

Doing this website was like full feeling a dream, you see… I belong to this world since I was a child.
So with this opportunity I could use all of my knowledge about the Horse World and put it into practice a long side with my design skills to make a website wordy of this fair.
